"Hey! Its Me."

I am awkward. So there is a boy in my ward that I thought was SOOO cute, all of last semester. Oddly whenever I was around him, I would get nervous and do weird things, he had a weird affect on me. This story takes place after one memorable stake activity. After the activity was over I had to go get gasoline, as my car was running on fumes. So we drove back to the pines, grabbed my wallet and went back outside. There was a car parked in the walkway, where we aren't suppose to park but everyone does. Not thinking I waved, and jumped in the car. The car backed out and I followed. I was with my roommates Paige and Tara. They are the reason I lack a love life. We were close enough that we could see the license plate, it was his car. The boy I had been crushing on. We got to the end of the drive way and he turned left. Perfect! I had to go the same way. Paige encouraged "yelled at" me to drive faster. At the stop sign, he was going straight and I was turning right. My car easily fit in the space. We were now side by side and Tara and Paige insisted that his window was down, thus Paige rolled down my window. Yeah. His window wasn't down. I panicked, and in not so many words threw my upper body, like seriouly it was fully out of the window and shouted "Hey Nathan!" (Names have been changed to protect...well myself). He waved kindly, but I knew he thought I was crazy. And to top it off his roommate was sitting in the passenger seat thinking, who is this woman? Needless to say I drove off and after we got to the gas station. We laughed for twenty minutes before we could get gas. It will haunt me. Today. I can laugh about it. And its the way we now say hello to eachother when we see eachother (meaning my friend Tanya and I). Its as awkward as possible. Plus we have added our own little parts to make it even better. Well thats the story for the week.

Peace.

A Black and White Affair

You know those nerdy people that you always make fun of for being early to a social event. Well the time has come, I am now officially one of those people. For the first time I was the first one on the scene. It was an honest mistake. The new semester has started. I am trying to adjust to the change, but for some reason I am finding it hard. Classes that I am now currently enrolled in are: Social Problems, Child Development, Understanding DNA, Transitions in Art and Culture, Career Exploration, and Book of Mormon. 15 credits with a whole lot of homework. But I like it. I was once again blessed with wonderful roommates, and really good friends. Well to kick of such an event as a new semester, my roommates and I attended the back to school dance. Two rules - Keep it clean and dress up in something black or white. Simple. So we got all dressed up. I spent way to much time getting ready, and in the end it was all for nothing. There seems to be a trend here on campus that all the cute boys are already taken. Tragic I know. We had it in our minds that the dance started at 7:00, so we figured, let's go at 7:30 and then more people will be there. How very wrong we were. It started at 8. Wo is me! We walked into a completely empty gym. We did however adjust to the awkwardness well, the 5 of us walked to the middle of the court, sat down and played Down by the banks (one of those legitimately cool hand games we did as children). Yes we looked really awesome, we have a lot of friends. Well its safe to say that once people did actually show up, it was fun. Success. I think yes.

Peace.

Stressed Is Just Desserts Spelled Backwards!

Goodness! Its final week, here in the good town of Rexburg, and students everywhere are scrambling around to get that last bit of studying in. It's hard to believe that the semester is over, it's been a wild ride, but a good experience overall. So the question is how does one compensate for all the stress? Well we have found the answer. Bake a cake, or maybe two like us. My friend Tanya and I have a thing for baking, however most of the things that we choose to bake, are EXTREMELY unhealthy, and will most likely cause us to gain the legendary freshmen 15. Taking a break from our crazy "study schedule", we decided to make two cakes, a blueberry cheesecake and a better than sex cake. YUM. We got the ingridients and set to work. An hour later we had two very heavenly desserts sitting before us. I think that it is safe to say without exaggeration that the better than sex cake was eaten in less than 24 hours, and its not a small cake. But hey, we are six growing girls, we deserve it. The good news, it makes everything feel better. The bad news, we all are going to have to work ourtdouble time to stay our present weight. Just remember the next time you are feeling stressed, whip up a dessert and have some time to your self.

Peace.

A New Scooter. Complete With Insurance.

...So, My friends and I started a gang in highschool known as the Tangerine Mobile Scooter Fighters. We are legit, we have a rap PLUS T-Shirts. What can we say? We are cool. Everyday, when weather would allow, we road Razor scooters around our high school parking lot. Everyone was jealous. This is true. Well as of today, I am at BYU-I, and I am the new owner of my very own scooter. It has purple handles, is a shiny silver, has a wheelie bar, and is complete with $4.99 scooter insurance. Thats right they offer that kind of stuff now. What was the need for such a thing? The pure enjoyment of the wind blowing through my hair, as I pass fellow students on campus, thats what. Scootering is a regular activity of mine, along with my favorite friend Tanya, we can often be found scootering along the sidewalk, or through the park, or to broulims, though for some reason we usually end up at Rockland Apartments. It has become our favorite form of transportation, and I mean lets face it what is there not to love about a scooter? The end.
